Akshay Kumar magnum-opus historical movie’s plot is based on Tarain Wars fought in 1191 & 1192 . Manushi Chhillar, former Miss India, is the lead actress playing Sanyogita in the movie . The film is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj Bhasha epic poem about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, a Rajput king from the Chahamana dynasty and also last Hindu ruler whose defeat in 1192 at Tarain opened the gate for Islamic Quest in Northern India .
